The school saw a total of 28 students graduating from the IB program. The 24th May, 2019 will go down in history as a mark of yet another journey for the graduates. When giving his Valedictorian Speech, Ahmed Yasir Yousif, stated that indeed this was not an easy journey. It was a journey marked with a lot internal assessments, sleepless nights and a barrage of assignments. He said that even though there were plenty of challenges, the greatest lesson he has taken from this, its that of the power of self belief - a lesson he stated will remain with him for the rest of his life.
He thanked Ms. Linda Round - IB Coordinator at KICS, for the care and attention she extended to each and every student. The same courtesy was extended to Ms. Reem Heakal and Ms. Samia Omer - College Counsellors for bringing about enthusiasm and energy amongst the graduates.
For his part, Barsoum Banayoti - the Class Historian, summed up by defining a KICS student as intelligent, culturally aware, risk takers, confident, determined, polite, sociable and well rounded. Students at KICS are an embodiment of the school’s mission - they are empowered to act creatively, positively and responsibly in a changing world.
We wish all the graduates a very blessed and bright future.
