The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE’s) is offered as a bridge between the IMYC in Year 7, Humanities in Year 8 - 9 and the Diploma Programme in Years 12 -13. IGCSE’s are the most popular international qualification for 14 – 16 year olds. They are widely recognized by universities across the world. At KICS students are able to undertake their IGCSE’s in a wide range of subjects. We offer a core group of courses from which students must do a subject from each. Within this core there is a range of subjects that can be selected. As a result students do a total of between nine and eleven IGCSE subjects, which they take at the end of Year 11. In the last two years we are delighted to have been able to expand the courses offered and now students can do Business Studies, Spanish and Physical Education.
Furthermore at KICS, our students are eligible for Cambridge ICE Award (International Certificate in Education). The ICE Award is given to students who pass examinations in at least seven IGCSE subjects from five different subject groups, including two different languages.
