KICS is an IB World school located in Khartoum Sudan. We provide a 3-18 education in an international, English medium, co-educational school. We follow the curricula of the IB Primary Years Programme, the International Middle Years Curriculum, IGCSE’s and the IB Diploma.
Located in a shady, green campus on the southern edge of the city, KICS provides a balanced, active and rigorous education for all its students.
History and Mission
KICS origins lie in a small infant school founded by a British teacher in the 1980’s. HaI El Matar Infant School was taken over by Mrs Samia Omar in 1999 and from 2004 the decision was taken by DAL Group to expand the infant school to create an academically rigorous international school in Khartoum with world-class facilities and staff.
Under the leadership of our founding Principal, Mr Nigel Winnard, the school moved to its new campus in August 2005. Our first Graduating class was in May 2010 and since that time KICS graduates have been prepared for some of the best colleges and universities around the world.
From August 2017 our new Principal,
Mr Peter Round, will be leading the school forward as we continue to prepare KICS students to be dynamic and successful participants in a rapidly changing world.
